After graduating from Princeton University, Margot began her career in New York City. She worked as a Design Consultant for the flagship Laura Ashley Home Store on Madison Avenue, before becoming the District Manager of the East Coast. She was recruited by J. Crew where she spent the next few years overseeing the opening of 35+ stores as Director of Retail, acting as the liaison between Design Planning / Construction and Retail Operations. After moving to California in 1998 and spending several years working as a staging and merchandising consultant, Margot started her own Staging business in 2010. Now, with more than ten years of extensive and considerable experience, she possesses an innate desire to create and design spaces that exceed her client’s expectations. Her strong operations and merchandising ability, combined with her gift of design & detail, produces remarkable results for both the vision as well as the execution of projects. With an eye for quality, a superior sense of style, and a client-centered approach to business, Margot has proven herself as an innovative stager and designer. Margot is a recent empty nester and lives with her two yellow Labrador retrievers Winston and Gus, who are definitely considered part of the team.

Esin tayanc

Staging Manager

Esin is a native of Istanbul, Turkey. Her background in art and design along with extensive worldwide travel led her to the United States in 1993. She settled in Marin County where she’s lived since then.

As a photographer, Esin’s images have been published in local and national publications. Her work consists of landscape, nature, and architectural subjects. Her keen eye for design and a natural ability to see subjects using unusual perspectives gives her work a very unique quality.

Interestingly, for an artist, Esin also possesses extraordinary operational skills. All who know her remark that she is an “out of the box” type of thinker. She brings those qualities and skills, along with her design sense, to MO Designs, making it a perfect blend for the needs of the client.

Project Manager

At an early age working in her family’s real estate business, Hayley developed an appreciation for design and color. She went on to earn a BFA at Montana State University with a concentration in oil painting. Prior to joining the MO Design team, Hayley worked in the floral industry where she designed floral arrangements and led large event installations.

Hayley’s natural eye for design, incredible attention to detail, strong work ethic and warm easy-going nature help cultivate great working relationships with both our contractors and clients.  Hayley plays an integral role in our organization with the management and execution of large renovation projects. Her excellent “people” skills help keep all parties informed and on-track creating a seamless client experience.  

After work you can find her exploring the great outdoors with her small but adventurous Chihuahua.

Brand Manager

A Bay Area native, Nancie Bailey graduated from UC Berkeley and spent a decade working in the corporate retail sector.  Upon the tragic events on 9/11, 2001 Nancie made a career change and devoted the next 20 years to teaching preschool and elementary school students. 

January 2023, Nancie connected with Margot and soon entered the design world, accepting a role as MO Design brand manager. Nancie has a fantastic eye for home design and with the help of her husband they have flipped homes in Muir Beach, San Anselmo, CA and a ranch in Petaluma, CA.

Nancie Bailey lives in Mill Valley with her husband, two teenage daughters, red Labrador Retriever and cat. She enjoys traveling, photography, volunteering and supports the arts. As well, Nancie is an avid Volkswagen enthusiast! Nancie brings positive energy, home design knowledge and strong communication skills.
